Sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find an answer to it.
I need to set the branding zone to have one full-width region that covers the entire width of the page which will then be home to a full-width slideshow.
Is the correct way simply to make .zone.zone-branding and .region.region-branding set to width: 100%; in the global css or is there a correct way to do this?
Thank you
Carl

Ramonius CreditAttribution: Ramonius commentedOne could also do it using the theming system:
Now you should have a zone with a region that has the full width of the screen.
This way you're still using the grid system and settings etc., without hacking into the existing Omega CSS with ugly overrides.

markpape CreditAttribution: markpape commentedThank you Ramonius this helped me insert a full width slick carousel inside an existing 960 grid setup of Omega. While following your instructions, it may be worth mentioning that leaving the code
<?php print $content; ?>
inside both the zone--header.tpl.php and region--slideshow.tpl.php worked for me, i removed the wrapping divs completely, this may just make it more clear for some.
