Call to undefined function sms_formatter() in sms_user.module on line 275

With version 6.x-1.x-dev from 2015 Feb 11, I get this error when trying to save a phone number at /user/*/mobile:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function sms_formatter() in /var/www/html/sites/all/modules/smsframework/modules/sms_user/sms_user.module on line 275

According to the changelog, the function was removed, but apparently not all the calls to it were.
