Can't access or activate the module / "Custom search" not visible in configuration panel.

When clicking on Configure in /admin/modules, I get redirected to /admin/config/search, but there "Custom search" isn't mentioned.

So how would I adjust the settings / activate this module then?

The README says the following:

Install
-------

  1. Enable the module
  2. Go to Administer > Settings > Custom search to change settings
  3. Don't forget to set permissions, otherwise nobody will see the changes

Obviously I enabled the module.

Administrator has permission to:

  • Administer custom search.
  • Use custom search.

The issue is: 2. isn't accessible.

You should go to admin/config/search/custom_search (Configuration > Search and metadata > Custom Search).
I've updated the Readme file.

@jdanthinne - That's where I hoped to find > Custom Search, but there is no such tab in Configuration > Search and metadata ...

Can you try clearing the cache, because it should be right there…

@jdanthinne That's great! It did the job. For people not experienced with clearing the Drupal cache: see this documentation.
