Hi everybody. I'm trying to install Drupal 7.34 on Xampp (on a machine with Arch Linux installed). It's the first time I try to install Drupal in localhost, but I have installed Drupal in remote hosting many times. Everything looks working good during the installation, but after that, when I try to login with username and password I created during the installation, I receive this message:

Access denied
You are not authorized to access this page.

It seems that during the installation the admin user is not created. I tried to re-install but I always get the same results.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I had exactly the same problem, Milazzo.
I'm on the way to finding a solution, I think:
- In Firefox, I had the problem you described: "admin" and his password were not recognized, "Access Denied".
- But in Internet Explorer, I Did get past the login, and I could make new content.

My guess is that it's some Firefox extension which is giving trouble. I'll just try to figure out which one. Maybe my situation is different from yours, but switching browsers might be a way around, for the time being.

Enable cookies for Drupal within your browser!

Good luck!

Thanks, Wusel. The cause of my login problem was indeed cookie-related. I got rid of the cookies under "Localhost", and logging in with Firefox became immediately possible. I'll just see now if it keeps on working. Anyway, it was a trick of the Cookie Monster.

I've just realised it works properly with Firefox, before I used Chrome and it didn't. My problem is solved installing Firefox, and so it's ok now, but I just would like to know how I could enable cookies for Drupal in Chrome.

Thanks a lot.

Ask in a Chrome forum, not here!

Or ask google...
