Hello, and thank you for this handy IRC-bot Drupal module. I must admit, feeding the Druplicon is one of my favorite stress-relievers!

We're wondering if you have any time or desire to help get this module working for Backdrop CMS. Over in our IRC channel we miss having a bot around, and we're interested in porting the Bot module so we can host our own bot on one of our sites. We will most likely start on the initial port of the module sometime soon, but we'd love to have some help and/or guidance from any of the original maintainers.

Hey Jen!

I have no political qualms about Backdrop.

I do have desire to get the bot going under Backdrop, just like I have desire to rewrite it entirely under Drupal 8. However, the big problem is time - I just don't have a ton of it right now. You've my blessing to port it to Backdrop with, perhaps in the future, a handover of maintainership should I ever get deep in Backdrop. You're welcome, also, to include me on any d.o issues relating to Backdrop and the Bot, or whatever Github (https://github.com/morbus) or contrib-focussed project management Backdrop creates (morbus@disobey.com), whether it be simply "Morbus, what the hell does this mean?" or "Morbus, code review?" or "Morbus, we gave up and went to Phergie instead. YOU SUCK!"
