I've been declaring it in the the info file in the usual way: fonts[google_fonts_api][] = "Montserrat&subset=latin#400". No problem with any other Google fonts (over the years) but this font (see http://www.google.com/fonts#QuickUsePlace:quickUse/Family:Montserrat:400...) seems to refuse to be loaded. Error message is:
The font declaration Montserrat&subset=latin#400 that is added to the theme .info file cannot be loaded. Make sure the font exists in the google_fonts_api font list.
It's perplexing. Is there anything obvious that might be preventing this loading? Thanks for any help.
