Getting this error after upgrading to the latest version of Drupal Commons

mgifford@cllamas are you getting that error on a fresh install? You can install it here http://simplytest.me/project/commons
If an upgrade from an existing install, what process are you using? If we can't replicate the problem, it's hard to fix it.

I too had same issue while updating drupal commons. To fix the issue and continue update, Enable the drupal commons title module which is located at profiles/commons/modules/contrib/title
Goto modules list page admin/modules/list/
Find for below text to quickly goto the module
Replaces entity legacy fields with regular fields
And enable the module.
Then try running the update.php again.
This issue is posted 6 months ago, However this reply might useful for some folks who had same issue.
