how to make year view show event in pop up

I noticed when I go to my event calendar in year view and I click on an event I get taken to that events main page. When I'm viewing my event calendar in month view I am able to click on the event and the event details get shown via a pop up. I'd like the year view to display the event in a pop up just as the month display of the view does. I've looked at the settings of the view, both display settings for the

are exactly the same. I've attached screen grabs of each overall settings of each display of the same view. One Month and the other Year. Let me know if you need anything else to better help me. I appreciate any help that you can provide, thank you in advance.
