I think it would be useful to have at least minimum documentation on the module page about what can be notified.

You mention there is a configuration page: what can I set there?

Will this module use the Pnotify library to display Drupal status messages? Can I set custom messages with Rules?

Often Drupal sitebuilders (non-developers) won't go try/test right away the module, cause it will mean downloading, uploading via FTP and installing it on a live site. :) Thank you

Please spend a few minutes looking at the documentation on the project page:
https://www.drupal.org/project/pines_notify

The documentation covers 2 installation methods, as well as information on where to edit the configuration and settings.

As far as deploying stuff to a live site without testing locally, this is a horrible idea. Please always test locally, or at least on a dev environment.

I totally agree with

#kopeboy

that there should be more on documentation as the given info looks to be more of installation instructions rather usage instructions.

Please add few more lines on what and how to use or config.

Thanks..

It seems really clear to me....

From the first paragraph of the project description:

Display drupal's messages to the user via javascript or desktop notifications (web notifications).

This module simply takes drupal message output (success, warning or error messages thrown after updating content or doing any other actions).

There is also a link to the PNotify library, at the top of the project description. This allows you to see demos of the library and it's functionality:
