availability calendar field settings are global and cannot be selected distinctly

All through and across multiple distinct content types there is an issue with the rooms availability reference field. Its value is global; meaning that if i set it to display availability calendar

Unit types that can be referenced

in content A and that unit type availability calendar will be displayed in contents B, C, D ...etc Even though i selected a different "Unit types that can be reference" for contents B,C,D.

is this a bug ? or working as designed. This is just an issue on the backend with regards to field settings. Otherwise you can display a distinct calendars on content nodes.

If i select every

Unit types that can be referenced

then in each individual node i am able to select the correct distinct calendar to display.
