Default weight dropdown is not being refreshed after selecting weight range

When I'm editing weight settings for a content type, if I set the weight range to a bigger value than the current value, the following default weight dropdown is not being refreshed.

So if I set the range 50 for a content type whose current value is 20, I can't set the default weight to 50, I have to save and then open the weight settings again for the same content type.
