For one project of mine I need a quite common feature in drupalchat. Intelligent scrolling.

When I'm reading previous messages in chat window history I'd like to stop autoscroll to new messages. I want to autoscroll to new messages only if I'm already on the bottom message. Just simple as that. See facebook messages for a reference.
