Features
- Content type displays, view modes and field settings have had a major overhaul
and normalisation. Any Display Suite overrides have been removed. They should
now behave much more predictably, and be easier to theme.
- A new "Compact" view mode has been added for all content types.
- Views of Content Types previously using Fields now use Teaser or Compact view
modes.
- A basic style for maintenance mode has been added which can be used without
extra branding.
- Forms have better accessibility for required and invalid fields
- Administration users are protected from edits by lower roles and cannot be
deleted
- The Legal module has been added, but not enabled. This allows you to request
that users agree to a terms-of-use statement when signing in
- Phone number fields have been added for Webforms and Content Types
- It is now possible to add custom tab sets using the Quicktabs module
- Context now provides a Menu Trail
- aGov now checks inactive user accounts and disables them
- All files are now automatically locked to prevent deletion. A suitably
permissioned user can unlock them manually
- Service links for popular sharing services like Facebook and Twitter have been
added and are available in a block
- The Node Clone module has been added
- The Shield module has been added, which allows you to block access to all or
part of the site using a password
- There is a new Event Log which tracks content and user authentication actions
- On login, some roles will be automatically directed to My Workbench rather than
their user page
- The Site Editor can now put the site in Maintenance Mode
- It is possible to add Apple Touch and other icons via the Appearance menu
- A new Site Builder role is present for site building tasks
- Google Analytics stats for the active account are available under Reports
- A Table of Content can be added to any node
Fixes
- Comment settings have been checked and rationalised in a way appropriate
for public sector sites
- The installer was dysfunctional in alpha4 due to the way maintenance.tpl
was configured. That has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue where not having a "read more" link on a slide would trigger
a warning.
- aGov submodules previously had hardcoded version numbers. These have been
removed.
- The "skip to content" link has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue where focus was lost when the slideshow slide changed.
- Fixed an issue where rebuilding the Default Config permissions would throw an
error if one of the modules providing permissions was disabled.
- The Text Resize widget was broken and has been fixed
- The Home link now works on the mobile select list
- Fixed an issue where some Navbar components would fail or interfere with Views
- Site Editors have some additional permissions
- Media embed doesn't autoplay when autoplay is disabled
- Tables should now retain the correct settings
- LinkChecker is properly configured
- Fixed an issue where users may not be able to request a new password
Changes
- The "blog teaser" view mode has been removed.
- Node and User Reference fields have been replaced with Entity Reference
- The slideshow now longer autoscrolls, and has no pause button
- Site mail now uses a fixed "From:" mail header, and user entered "Reply-to:"
- Secure Pages has been removed. We recommend all public sector sites use 100%
SSL/HTTPS for security and SEO.
- Sweaver has been removed
- The overlay has been disabled again
