I'll start by saying I know I'm a colossal moron. Drupal turned out to be way over my head, but I drilled on and started a blog on Drupal anyway.

Here's my deal:
I updated a module. I didn't backup my site. The module wasn't being developed anymore and crashed (?) my site.

There were some other huge missteps along the way after that, while I tried to fix the mistake. I'll just skip to now.

  • I have my site files, post module update/site crash, saved on my computer.
  • I have a new Drupal install with the database name changed in settings.php to point to my old/original database.

I would like to retrieve the text of my blog posts, stick my tail between my legs and crawl back to something like WordPress. :-( Just want the text of my blogs. Anything else I can recreate.

Any super-beginner help anyone is willing to give is very much appreciated!

Sincerely,

Margaret

How many posts are there to retrieve? And did they have revisions turned on?
