Check if member of mailchimp list

Is there a way using rules to check whether a user is a member of a mailchimp list in version 7.x-3.2?

My first thought was to compare date values but I'm not sure what I should compare the mailchimp subscription field to. Perhaps there should be an option, similar to when using rules to assign a user to a list, to switch to a checkbox for subscribed or not subscribed?

In the meantime, if the first value to compare is the list membership, what should the second value be? Or is there a better way to do this?
