search_api 8.x-1.0-alpha1

This is the first Alpha release of the Drupal 8 version of the Search API project.

The module is basically working, but there are still a lot of features missing (e.g., most of the Views integration) as well as some known bugs with what's there.

While the module's automated tests are currently all passing according to all accounts, Drupal.org's own test bot reports various errors. The cause of this is currently unclear, see #2386357: Fix testbot failures for details.

Production use of the module is, in any case, discouraged at the moment, as there will also be no upgrade path until Beta, at the earliest.
