Backup&Migrate: Can't find folder with backup files

Dear all,

this is my first issue post and I hope it is the right field to put it.
I am desperate finding the folder/directory where my files beeing stored.
I can't find my database backup files.
All I could find in the internet was that the backed up files beeing stored
at: "sites/default/files/private/backup_migrate"
but there is no "sites/default/files/private".

Please help. I need to know where I can access the backup-files created
with backup&migrate through FTP.
