Hello guys, I am here with a Major/minor issue. I am not a drupal expert and i am really interested in becoming one of the expert. I have a challenge which i believe someone out there can help me out.

I bought a premium drupal 7 theme from themeforest. at the moment, my site runs on drupal 7. the question is: How do i move all my site files, modules, views, contents, nodes, configurations, blocks, taxonomy, rules, images, file systems, reports, in short everything from the current site into the new theme without loosing anything out. even though i may need to do some manual adjustment from the front end. but the migration is key.

This has given me sleepless night and a probably solution will relieve me of this strong headache.

I hereby appeal to all Drupal-guru out there to help me with solving this simple but escalated issue. either a step-by-step approach of a link for a probable solution

Themes are installed as part of a Drupal install (not the other way around)

While you will not lose any blocks if the regions are names differently you may have to place blocks on the block admin page.

  1. Install and enable the new theme, but do not make it the default theme.
  2. Install https://www.drupal.org/project/switchtheme and grant permission to use it to your role (not regular users).
  3. Switch your personal theme to the new theme.
  4. Put blocks in the correct regions, replace the logo, et cetera.
  5. When you're satisfied, make the new theme the default theme so everyone else can see the results.
  6. If the changes aren't immediately shown to anonymous users, clear cache.

Hello Yelvington, I tried the above solution and it scattered my site. I cleared the cache twice, yet it never worked. I had to drop my db and re-import twice. Is there any medium i can contact you. my email is dolpaz02@yahoo.com. hoping to read from you soonest !
