Hi,

I would like to install the Restaurant project on my MacBook Pro to test it (with MAMP: latest version), but when I try to install it, first, I can't select the standard installation (only the Quick install is available), and secondly when I fill other parameters for setup, everything seems to be ok until step 8.

When I launch the site, I can see the homepage of the restaurant, but I don't have access to many features, like user management, admin panel, or anything else to configure the website. I don't know if it's me or if I missed something but I cannot continue like that.

So please help me to get all things working fine with this project. I already checked everywhere on the Internet, and it's almost my first time I use Drupal.

Thanks a lot !

Standard installation, indeed, fails. I've been looking into this issue for some time today already. If I have any usable information, I will open a seperate issue for this.

As to the admin bar - I can't reproduce that.

Can you walk me through what you do on http://simplytest.me/project/restaurant ? (Given you choose the working quick install of course).
For me, clicking
1) Launch sandbox
2) Get started
3) Quick install & Launch Installation
4) Save & continue (3x)
5) View your existing site

gives me a complete installation, being logged in as admin with an admin bar (see attachment). Maybe you should retry installing the distro from a clean database.

Best,

Victor

Status: Active » Closed (cannot reproduce)

Short follow-up:

About the standard installation type issue, see https://www.drupal.org/node/2382731

For the admin menu: I'm closing this as "can't reproduce". If you have steps on how to reproduce it, I will be glad to take a look at it. So far, all works from a clean install.

Cheers

Victor

Hello and thanks for your replies.

On simplytest it works fine also, but when we logout there is not indication about how to login for this distribution.

With the help of a friend, he found that I must go to the /user/login path to authenticate. With that small trick, I can now see the admin bar in my local environment. Sorry for disturbing, I'm new with drupal...

Have a good day Victor
