Hello,
I have prepared a Drupal Commons website on Acquia Cloud free, in which I want to add the chat functionality. So I have got my hands on this free module for the chat thing, yet there is no way for me to upload this on my site as there is no 'Upload Module' button in Module divison. I am a little bit lost at this stage and please request you to help me through this problem
Thank you.

I cannot update OR install new modules with Drupal Commons as of 1-24-2015!
Please help with a patch or documentation.

lslakdigital CreditAttribution: lslakdigital commentedHi, I am a newbie and I may be doing something stupid but I have a good heart. So bear with me if I am actually doing something wrong.
there is no "install module" or update module option in the latest version of drupal commons. Somewhere along the line it appears Drupal Core's Update Module Manager for this was disabled or moved under a rock in the UI
This was assigned to first person who posted this who is a newbie like me and I am guessing that was mistake that kept people with actual knowledge of what they were doing from looking into this. I have changed this to unassigned in hopes that whoever looks at this post now will spread goodness and kindness by helping these newbies with a patch or point in general direction with how to install or update modules manually.
Can I go in on the server side and just upload a new module in my sites folder and run update script? Or would doing that break the internet or cause like disaster of unknowable proportions.
