Hi

I would like to have a specific workflow to access some nodes : the author shall be able to grant view access to specific users.
Also, users shall be able to apply for node access (view only), and authors shall have an easy way to grant/deny acess to requesters, for each node they authored.
I can't see how to implement this with existing node access modules.
Is there to your knowledge any combinaison of modules which implement this need?

Currently Nodeaccess cannot give you this functionality without custom programming. You might be able to do something using Content access since it has support for Rules. But I am not too familiar with it. Perhaps someone in their issue queue could help you out.
