Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
There are important fixes in the 7.x-1.x-dev branch that aren't in the last release.
Even though work has now moved to version 2.x it would be great if a new 1.x release could be rolled.
Even if it is just alpha2.
There have been a number of bug fixes in dev, including this very important one from 2 years ago: #1860056: Invalid html id results in invisible html5 player
Marking critical because I think it is.
It's an easy win and there are major problems with the current stable release.

BerdirSorry, but that won't happen. 7.x-1.x is clearly unmaintained and I plan to mark it as unsupported as soon as we've finished the current development phase of 7.x-2.x and released a new beta version. 7.x-1.x never made it out of alpha and has no support for JW Player 6/7.

rooby CreditAttribution: rooby commentedI wouldn't say clearly, since there is no indication anywhere on the project page that it is unsupported (last commit date makes it a bit more obvious not but this is an old issue so it was less clear cut then).
Anyway, I look forward to the new 2.x beta.
