I think the maintainence is the 'bottleneck' of Ubercart project.
We definitely need more code maintainers - Longwave is doing a great job here - but one mainteiner on a large project like Ubercart is not enough.
We also need to rewrite the code to maximize the usage of D7 core features and API's. After the code is rewritten and legacy code cleaned up we should talk about a D8 release.
Uc is a D6 project that was just converted to work on D7 not to use all it's power. If we move to D8 with this ported code, I'm afraid that D8 will be last release that Uc will see.
I'll be glad to help here but the maintainence is way to slow.
I'm developing for Uc because I'm using it on daily basis but if I need to wait for 1 year for a performance patch like one of catalog to be reviewed we definitely need to look for another commerce solution.
What is Uc roadmap from maintainence point of view?
Will you accept new team members and are you willing to 'upgrade' Uc to a real D7 project? If not, please change maintainence status from 'Actively maintained' to 'Minimally maintained' and development status from 'Under active development' to 'Maintainence fixes only'.
Please don't interpret this post as a rude one, I'm just concerned about the future of my projects based on Uc and I want to know the maintainence / development team point of view to see if I'll still try to work on Uc or should I work on migrating my projects to other commerce solution like Drupal Commerce?

Umm, I guess I don't count.
