Why apparently non-existent values are found in a view field?

It makes me puzzled. Situation is:

Structure
CONTENT TYPE: Work
HAS A COLLECTION FIELD: Manuscript (multiple)
COLLECTION FIELD HAS: 1 entity reference field ("Print", required) + 1 text field ("Note")
VIEW: Contextual filter is "Content: Nid" + the field collection field + "Hide if empty"

Content
Node 1: Has values in both sub-fields (where the "Note" value is "Note 00".
Node 2: Has no values except the title.

Output
Node 2: Has "Note 00" in the view (see image). Where does it come from?

Context
I am having a problem that view is not considered empty although node 2 has no values (except the title). I was trying to dig inside to see why.

I am attaching a view of the export as well as an image of a dsm($view) result.
