I accidently deleted my whole project?!!!

I was trying to upgrade to Drupal 7-3.2 and made the mistake of not reading how to properly upgrade first. I made a copy of the root folder for my drupal project and pasted it to my desktop. Then I deleted the main root folder. Then I went into my Acquia Dev Desktop Control Panel, went into settings, clicked sites, and deleted the site from the Acquia Control Panel. Now I can't get the site back to normal! I think I really messed up! Is there any way to recover my site back to normal using the backup root folder I am now left with? If anyone can help me I would be so happy since I have been working for months on this project.
