Zoom to Extent For Non admins Not Working on Multistep Nodeform

I have an openlayers geofield on my node and I am also using Multistep Nodeform module. I have come across an issue of the zoom to layer on edit of the node not working along with the 'Find using x field' zoom to layer not working when the user is not an admin (it works just fine for admins). It pins the point or the boundary it just does not zoom on it. In addition, I did some messing around and found if I move the field to the 1st step of the form everything is fine for admin and non-admins so I believe everything is configured correctly. Lastly, I had an issue of the map not centering on the default location when using multistep form but I fixed it using the patch found here https://www.drupal.org/node/2300699. Any tips, thoughts would be much appreciated.
