Recently I've tried to install Drupal 8.0.0-beta1 and have met very strange issue. Look at the screenshot:
Somewhy html hasn't been sent completely. Reviewing the source code of the page I had a feeling that server just suddently stoped delivering html in a middle of progress.
Then I've done my research and came to a point that it was broken because of xcache. I saw similar issues for windows/os (#2246775: Suggest 5.4.11 as minimum PHP version for Windows and MacOS if XCache is enabled), but not for Debian.
After removing xcache everything started to work properly. Then I have installed apc and also didn't meet any issues.
My environment: debian 7.4, php 5.4.4, xcache, nginx 1.4.5 + php-fpm.

longwaveXCache only works up to PHP 5.6 and we no longer support PHP 5.6.
