A node's Author and Datastamp fields should appear separately under the Manage display tab, so I can choose where they appear, whether to display a label, the date stamp format, and whether to display them at all.

The "Display author and date information" currently appears under the Edit tab in a section Display settings. This is inconsistent and unintuitive.

They correctly appear on the Manage Form Display page.

they appear on the Manage Form Display page; but are they manageable? I am able to move Authored By where i like; but it never moves form the Authoring Info tab.
