My update (drush pm-update) is failing with the following errors:
Source directory /home/atm-doctors/public_html/awstatsicons is not readable or does not exist.
Source directory /home/atm-doctors/public_html/awstats-icons is not readable or does not exist.
Project Drupal was updated successfully. Installed version is now 7.31.
Backups were saved into the directory
(dir) [ok]
Backups were restored successfully. [ok]
Backups were restored successfully. [ok]
Awestats directories have never existed that I know of and I don't know why they would be required. And the backups restored message repeats for some reason.
What is going on here?

It is odd that drush is looking for/at non drupal folders.
version of drush?
have you researched the drush issue queue for similar reports?
...
I spent a little time searching for this particular error but didn't find anything even close.
