Just stumbled upon this issue:
#2348137: Enable WAL journal mode by default for SQLite database
Which seems interesting in terms of speed improvements. At least we should investigate it at some point.

elachlan CreditAttribution: elachlan commentedThis seems like a really clever idea, since the test bots run SQLite 3.8
It increases the speeds because WAL reduces the number of writes it needs to do.
I have no idea where to make the change though.

MixologicThis isnt something that I think we have control over in the testbot realm - run-tests.sh creates its own sqlite db to hold the test results, and as a part of core it should probably be adjusted there and the testbots will inherit whatever benefits it adds.

andypostLooks it's outdated, wal enabled sinse 8.2

mondrakerun-tests.sh sqlite database uses Drupal's core DB API, therefore the WAL journaling already. So this seems outdated. Plase reopen if needed.
