Administer Organic groups permissions forces subscribe link to appear

I don't believe this is a duplicate issue. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I believe this is a bug.

A user who has drupal permissions to "Administer Organic groups permissions" when viewing a group that they are not a member of sees the link "Subscribe to group" even if the group permissions are unchecked for both subscribe with approval and subscribe without approval. Users without "Administer Organic groups permissions" correctly see "This is a closed group."

Granted a user with "Administer Organic groups permissions" can go to the individual group add user and add themselves but they should not see the subscribe link. It should appear as it would to other users as closed.
