Gallerific Slide Show uses settings from Front Page Slideshow?

I have the BlueMasters theme on my Drupal installation and love it. One issue though... I created a views gallerific slideshow for the client to upload pictures of events too. When the views gallerific slideshow runs, the gray bar from under the front page slideshow appears behind the images and you can see it during transitions. I tried removing it in code (but it took the one off the front page too) and I tried adding code to the views gallerific module to instill "background-image="none" but neither of these worked. Can anyone give me an idea of how to get rid of it ONLY on the views gallerific slideshow?
