Can you post your Virtualhost code which located in /etc/apache2/sites-available/yourfakedomainnamesetup? This might be in your server configuration

Yeah, this sounds like a mod rewrite problem.

Thanks for testing an early version of Drupal 8!

This was reported against Drupal 8 when it was in beta and there has been no further discussion. It is reasonable to assume the the problem has been sorted. If not, just reopen the issue and provide complete steps to reproduce.
