This was a problem with 7.x until recently fixed (after the 8.x branch was created). See #2229871: Youtube field not translating correctly with i18n_field for a full description, steps to reproduce, and the fix. I'm not sure if the functionality to translate fields will be in core or contrib, but we'll need to determine if is a bug in 8.x. If it is, we will update and improve this description and fix it. If not, we can close this.
