I have had some trouble with getting Composer Manager to work on the testbot. Is there a way to make qa.d.o get the dependencies in a unit test?

Marking as a task, because this need to be addressed in order for Composer Manager to be a viable option going forward. We will likely have to make improvements to the testbot.

Thanks for raising this important issue.

Thanks for the quick confirmation. Do you have any ideas or plans to move this forward? Maybe it's worth adding @jthorson to this conversation, because he already proposed a CI-style configuration YAML file for qa.d.o test runs. We may be able to leverage that.

I personally have no plans ATM because I am deep in a project and cannot focus on Composer Manager until mid-next week.

I would love to start getting ideas, though, and looping in the relevant people. Sounds like you are closer to the the test and people that run it than I do, so it would be great if you could direct them here to start discussing. Once this project is over I definitely plan on spending time on this issue.

Thanks!
Chris

Do we any update on this?

Composer Manager works fine with Travis, which is what all current D8 modules are using for testing.

The d.o testing infrastructure has no Composer support whatsoever. It's planned for that to changed (DrupalCI), but it hasn't happened yet.

Since this module no longer officially supports Drupal 8 (because it has native composer support since 8.1.x+), marking this issue as outdated.
