I think we need a Registration Page Content Type (OG Content) so that you can add information/text that is strictly related to registrations.

You could then create an addition Panel Page and menu tab for all conferences regardless if the registration is paid or not. The Panel pane can then embed all of the "Tickets" that are associated with the event. This would then provide an "Out of the Box" solution that automatically shows all of the ticket types on one page. Some people may not have the skills to realize you need add the registration content panes to one of your pages.

Currently I have put the registration information on the Event Content Type and some people may want to put different information on the Event Content Type.

Title: Add Registration Page Content Type » Add Registration Block / Display

I talked this over with DyanneNova and Jyee, and we believe another content type is not appropriate for this issue. The problem exists (it'd be great to put registration information elsewhere), but there are better solutions.

jyee suggested adding a block that editors can place whereever they want, and there is another option where you make a page display with the registration field. Both can be added to a registration panel. I think this matters more when you have only one event active per site, and want to separate the event landing page with registration.

While I appreciate your input on this I completely disagree with the solution.

My goals for COD is to be able to give the site to executive assistants (who doesn't know drupal) and allow them to add their own events with different ticketing options. pricing.

IMHO the two most important Menu Tabs that should be available out of the box for event are Registration and the Schedule. So the idea is to provide automated menu tabs for each event provides a high level of usability out of the box.

To demonstration your solution here is my user story.

John: Hey, I have added 10 different events and each of them have 4 different registration price options where is the registration menu ?

Jane: You need to login to Drupal, go to the configuration and put the block on the page that you want ?

John: Great but How do I get the menu to show on the event content type ?

Jane: You need to create a panel page display in Panels and select make available as menu a Tab, then add the block to the content section.

John: Panels ? Okay I maybe I will figure it out. I followed your instructions but now "all" of the registrations for each event are showing on every event.

Jane: You need add the pre configured block that has OG filter enabled.

Do you now see where I am coming from ?

@kclarkson when you get some time can you update or try out the latest version of cod. I think it is accomplishing what you are looking for. Each event has a dedicated registration page now at /node/%node/registrations which is aliased to /event-name/registration. It is also a local link menu path as well.
