All is working fine if the user went through the webform directly, but if the user went back, the fields of the field-set are shown and some predefined values of fields are lost

I went through this with the latest dev and could not reproduce the problem.

Please provide the simplest possible instructions to reproduce the problem, being specific about the exact fields and conditionals you have set up, and how you reproduced the problem, as well as the role used to add the submission.

No further information about how to recreate the error, so I'm going to close the issue for now. Please do re-open it with full information about how to recreate the issue from a fresh installation if it is still a problem.
