In rooms 7.x-1.3, the date format setting is not work in select date range.

Rooms now uses the variable module, so maybe we need to convert this field to that system and use variable_set_value() and variable_get_value().

There is also a number of lines of code that were just commented out. Instead of commenting the lines out, just remove them.
