We're pretty close to backporting this issue into D7 Core #865536: drupal_add_js() is missing the 'browsers' option

It's already in D8 and would provide better functionality & flexibility for D7 moving forward.

We'd just like you to look at the code to see that the changes to hook_js_alter & drupal_add_js don't disrupt your module.

Please take a look at #865536: drupal_add_js() is missing the 'browsers' option by say July 15th and let us know if you have any concerns. We'd love to have this patch get more reviews, particularly against this project.

It just needs this one line of code added, which as far as I can tell doesn't cause any trouble for older versions of drupal.
