API page: https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/developer%21globals.php/global/language/6

The $language var is an object, so why to describe it in an array style ? This may be confusing IMO.

OK... this documentation is in the Documentation project git repository, so if you'd like to make a patch, it can be done there.
