Release notes

The Error-Free-Installation Release

If you are already running 7.x-1.1, this is not an important or necessary update. This release benefits new memcache installations. If you are currently running 7.x-1.0 or an earlier release, you should update after proper testing.

There are no measurable performance changes between 7.x-1.1 and 7.x-1.2. The loadtests we used to confirm this are freely available at https://github.com/tag1consulting/drupal-loadtest. They assist in pre-populating a site with data, and then running a jMeter loadtest suite against the test website. While the tests aren’t comprehensive and only focus on common core functionality, they provide fantastic insight and detail into the performance differences between releases.

What’s changed since 7.x-1.1

Overview
This release fixes an error that can happen if you try to install memcache w/o first properly installing all required dependencies. It also improves the documentation, providing troubleshooting tips for specific errors and warnings you may see.
