Sorry if this is an old question, it it my first time using drupal.
I downloaded commerce_kickstart-7.x-2.15-core.tar.gz and install. Everything is fine until I play the demo data.
Every time when I select product type (?), i.e. "To Carry", "To Drink With" , etc., it display "Unknown index product_display."
I try to made the demo run to assist my learning, is anybody have this problem ?
Regards,
Almond Wong

almondwong CreditAttribution: almondwong commentedI think it is caused by using PostgreSQL. It would also cause error on Site settings->Modules, where a PDO error is displayed.
Using MySQL has no problem.
Any fix about this ?

almondwong CreditAttribution: almondwong commentedI installed the 1003788-76-D7-entity_load-sanity-check-any-integer_do-not-test.patch and fixed the PDO error on list modules. By the "Unknown index product_display." on product type display still exist.

qstraza CreditAttribution: qstraza commentedI am getting the same error.
I have freshly installed ubuntu 14.4
PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.2 with FPM
nginx/1.4.6
Postgres 9.3.4
I have installed Kickstart http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/commerce_kickstart-7.x-2.15-core.ta...
If I change database to Mysql and repeat the installation, the error is gone and I can see the list of products.
Could you be a bit more specific where can I see file/line number?

leyonce CreditAttribution: leyonce commentedMore info?? where from?? That's the only thing that the website shows. What file is supposed to create the index "product_display"?

jwirt CreditAttribution: jwirt commentedSame error here. SLES 11SP3. Postgres 9.1 and PHP 5.3
No file name given by the error message. Screen display looks like previously posted screen shots

mglamanMoving to bug report. The error is stating the search index is missing.

mglamanPer PmGs's post https://www.drupal.org/node/2474037 and bojanz response, I think this is a won't fix. The issue is probably from Search API DB. Maybe? Unless specific patches are posted PostgreSQL will remain unsupported by the maintainers (only through community support.)
It might be best to post the question here: http://drupal.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/postgresql and see what comes of it. I'd be more than willing to commit patches which enhance support, but only through community testing.

mglamanOut of curiousity I setup a Travis run using pgsql: https://travis-ci.org/mglaman/commerce_kickstart/jobs/72109330#L511.
It's definitely a search_api_db bug, it seems.

solide-echt CreditAttribution: solide-echt commentedAdding my two pennies worth: I have a few commerce websites based on Postgres (9.3+ with php 5.3+). Search API works in good order with search_api_views, search_api_facetapi and commerce_search_api. I use commerce modules only and not kickstart. I perfectly understand mglaman's arguments but from my experience this is not a search_api_db bug. See e.g. http://linearaudio.net for a working site.
