Hi,
I would love to be able to have the parent terms assigned to a node when I select a child.
For instance, I have a taxonomy of regions, I would like to be able to select England, West Midlands, and Birmingham at the same time, not just Birmingham. I wish I knew how to code, then I would help. Perhaps someone kind out there might be able to explain to me another way around this, perhaps using rules?
Thanks for a wonderful module. It does everything I need (in particular the ability to add new terms to a vocabulary from the node edit form). Everything, that is, except selecting the parents as well as the children.
Thanks again!

Tara1981 CreditAttribution: Tara1981 commentedHmmm...feeling a little silly as I realise that using views you can show all items which are tagged with child terms of a parent. I think this will be ok. It does mean if we ever want to move our data out of drupal it might cause problems but this isn't likely to be a widespread problem.

Since it's the referenced content that has the taxonomy attached to it, I can't get the contextual filter to work for me in views.
Can there be the option to add all parents of the selected tag to the node?

stBorchertSorry, but something like this ("saving term lineage") will not be implemented in SHS (see https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/shs?text=lineage&status=All). In Views you can simply use term filters with depth.
