With 76,000 users and a 7.x-1.0-beta5 that has been in release for a half a year, what would need to be done to get to a stable 1.0 release?

I have just tagged 7.x-1.0-rc1, containing almost 60 commits since beta5.

Once a few weeks pass and we shake out any regressions, I will tag 1.0.
