I don't seem to be able to get Transliteration to work for uploaded files inside of Field Collections.
I'm using Filefield Paths. Pathauto works fine for the file path, but Transliteration does not seem to affect the file name.
Transliteration is working properly otherwise on the site, just not inside Field Collections.
Not sure if its my configuration or if the module simply doesn't handle field collections.
Any thoughts?

It works fine. You just need to enable Transliteration and Pathauto for whichever you need - path and/or file name. It's still not clear to me why Pathauto would be needed to clean file names.
