After I migrated my site from my own server where it resided in a folder inside Apache's Document Root, to a shared-host with a canonical domain, the links that change the language replicate the previous folder name after the new canonical domain, thus giving:
http://emiliosvillas.gr/en/emilvill/el
instead of
http://emiliosvillas.gr/el
It somehow remembers the old url!
Both versions are online to check the behaviour visit:
1) Own server, site under Apache's DocumentRoot subfolder: http://tinyurl.com/oldcazw (works fine)
2) Public server: http://emiliosvillas.gr/en (language switcher broken) - PS: The default language has been changed to English here, that's irrelevant.
I upgraded drupal to latest version, as well as the module (i18n) to its newer version 7.x.11, same behaviour.

chefarov CreditAttribution: chefarov commentedI checked every option and re-done the transfer from the apache's root to the virtual server but the problem remains. Thus, switching to bug report.
