I have it set up so that new website members are automatically added to a list. On Mailchimp dashboard, "Final Welcome Email" is turned off. However the welcome email is still being sent out confirming that they have subscribed to the list. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Currently this is not configurable. The attached patch will alter the default behavior site-wide to NOT send a confirmation email, if you want that functionality. Converting to a feature request: we can add this as a configuration option at the field level in the future.
