Don't update sub-term - after second change parent term

I have the same problem with 7.x-3.0-alpha6.
After switching to 7.x-3.x-dev (2013-Oct-28) the problem was solved in my case.

Have same problem.
Switching to dev (7.x-3.x-dev) version helps me too.

Any update on this, i uninstall 7.x-3.0-alpha6 and reinstall hierarchical_select 7.x-3.0-alpha5. Now its working fine.

It seems like the problem is with the jQuery version. Using jQuery Update it only functions correctly with jQuery 1.5. Anything above that and the results vary from no term depth loading, to loading only when you click "update," to loading the first term selection only.

In my opinion this issue is solved by #828418-37: Drupal.attachBehaviors() used with an incorrect context?

It was fixed, but after updating to the current release, 7.x-3.0-alpha10, it is broken again.

I've rolled back to 7.x-3.0-alpha9.

There were only a few commits between alpha9 and alpha10, can we pinpoint which one introduced the error?

@stevenx, are you running Colorbox? It seems we introduced an incompatibility with that module in alpha10.

With update to alpha10 I also experienced the problem, that I cannot select a subterm. I rolled back to alpha9, and it works again.
