Provide a watchdog action [#2267553]

I saw the discussion about the same issue in Drupal 6 here:

I made a patch for the 7.x-3.7 version of services, tested with amfserver module.

This wasn't moved to 3.x for reason it was decided it wasn't services core material.

So creating a new module for that resource is the good solution? Or is there another project it may be added to?
