It would be great, if we could use tpruvot's fork, which is based on Fullcalendar 1.6.4 and includes support for year view, which seems to work well.

Only thing I am missing is a tab for the year. When I am in a different year from the current year and select a day, the module remembers what year I am in when I select week or month--which is perfect. But I cannot return to the year view. I will fiddle and see if I can find out how to include a "year" tab.
The other thing I am missing is a way to select a year to jump to rather than manually clicking backwards, which gets ridiculous if I am jumping back 20 years (yes, there is a strident need for a calendar to allows one to present historical information). Unlike the Calendar module, there is not a separate URL for each year or month (which wasn't working anyway since that module would not go back more than 3 years). So I am going to have to figure out how to make a user drop-down to select a year.
